A warning notice to its employees from a Chinese company has gone viral, stating that if they are not married by the end of September, they will be terminated. Shandong Shuntian Chemical Group Company sent a notice to its 1,200 employees, calling on them to work hard and get married.
The warning ordered unmarried workers between 28-58 years old, including divorced individuals, to marry and settle down by the end of September this year. The warning also stated that if they fail to marry by the end of June, the company will "analyze" them. If they are still single by the end of September, they will be terminated.
The announcement has been widely criticized by workers and social media, with the action being viewed as an infringement of individual freedom and rights.
