The world's highest paid employee is an Indian origin one. He is Jagdeep Singh, the co-founder of QuantumScape- the top electric vehicle battery company. The yearly earnings come close to around 17,500 crores in Indian rupees or 48 crores, approximately 1.57 billion rupees every day. This astronomical salary deal can be higher than that of several big companies for over a year. Jagdeep Singh has also accrued stock options valued at around $2.3 billion.

According to NDTV, he is BTech from Stanford University, MBA from University of California at Berkeley. Later, he moved to top organisations such as HP and Sun Microsystems. He launched several start-ups later. And among them all, Airsoft was one launch in 1992.

In 2010, Jagdeep Singh founded the innovative solutions battery technology company QuantumScape. The firm is working on solid-state batteries, which, by the way, are far from the usual lithium-ion type. There is no liquid electrolyte in solid-state batteries, making them safer and charging faster and with more energy density. This helps solve important problems with electric vehicles, like "range anxiety" and long charging times.

QuantumScape is an investment by Bill Gates and Volkswagen among others and holds a very critical position in paving the way for future transportation. Under Jagdeep Singh, the company had crossed numerous hurdles with the technology of a battery. The Chief Executive Jagdeep Singh has stepped down as chief executive officer from QuantumScape on 16 February, 2024. Siva Sivaram joins QuantumScape, a member who was employed in September, 2023, as President, taking up the reins. Jagdeep Singh, according to his LinkedIn profile, is a chairman of a board and a chief executive officer of a stealth startup.
