Chinese Company to set up Electric Vehicle Plant

A meeting was arranged in Lahore between Punjab Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Bilal Akbar Khan and representatives of China's renowned e-vehicle maker Dongfeng.
The representatives of Dongfeng Company made a presentation of their company profile to the Punjab Minister and introduced the electric cars, buses, and other heavy vehicles of the company.
Dongfeng Company has announced to form an electric vehicle plant in Punjab, said its representatives. It aims at setting the electric vehicle factory by 2026 in Punjab. Investment and Planning of this Electric vehicle setup by Dongfeng is welcome according to Bilal Akbar Khan.
The investment of Dongfeng Company in Punjab goes directly with the one-week visit of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to People's Democratic Republic of China at the invitation of Communist Party of China. On her visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also announced that she would put in efforts to work to promote electric transport in Punjab with the aim of controlling the air pollution there.
